History
History
April 1, 1960
Sakae Shirakawa, founder of the company, established the factory in Tennodencho, Joto-ku, Osaka City and started semi-automated glass manufacturing with 25 employees.
1965
The factory moved to its current location, Shigino-nishi, Joto-ku, Osaka City.
1977
The Shirakawa Garasu Industrial Co., Ltd was incorporated and Takeichi became CEO of the company with approximately 30 employees. In the same year, Shirakawa Glass Industrial Company was established in Neya, Neyagawa City, Osaka with 40 staff, and started the automated glass manufacturing operation.
1983
Shirakawa Garasu Industry started importing and selling glass containers, glass lighting and plastic containers from China.
2002
Shirakawa Glass Industrial Company sold.
February, 2008
Takeichi Shirakawa stepped down as CEO and became the Chairman of Shirakawa Garasu Industrial Co., Ltd. Osamu Shirakawa became CEO.
2011
Stopped manufacturing glass products and focused on domestic sales of glass and plastic containers and the import and sales of glass and plastic containers and glass lighting.
2012
New office building was constructed (office and warehouse).
2014
In addition to selling containers, started the inspection business.
2018
New inspection room added.
